We gather together in spiritual community because we need constant reminders of what matters most in life. In a world of heartbreak and dehumanization, our congregations and communities call us to our better selves. We learn to live with more wisdom, more connection, and more compassion.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Chico (UUFC) gathers for worship each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. We invite you to join us in person or online – see guidelines below. Click here for Upcoming Services information. If you are new to Unitarian Universalism, we invite you to read more about what to expect in our worship services.
In Person Worship
Join us in our beautiful sanctuary at 1289 Filbert Ave. in Chico! As of March 2022, we will abide by the following precautions to prevent spread of the coronavirus and ensure everyone’s safety. These are subject to change, per Butte County Public Health recommendations. Please keep informed by returning to this page or subscribing to the weekly E-news.
- If you have not been vaccinated, please wear a mask when inside UUFC. Vaccinated attendees can wear a mask at their discretion or preference. This gives us an opportunity to practice our first two principles, the inherent worth and dignity of each person, and justice, equity and compassion in human relations. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable. Masking will maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others.
- Everyone attending must sign in to facilitate contact tracing should it be necessary. If you test positive for COVID after attending a service, please contact Pam Sachs at email@example.com so she can notify others as necessary.
- After the service, we usually have snacks and drinks available in the social hall and all are encouraged to enjoy coffee hour on the patio.
Our “hybrid” format for worship services is designed for those who wish to continue participating via Zoom. Follow the instructions below or under each of the Upcoming Services descriptions. Please connect to Zoom before 10:30 AM, when the broadcast will begin.

Activities Following Worship
We encourage all to stay after the service to enjoy conversations with UU members and friends, whether on Zoom or in person on the shaded patio. At some time, we hope to rekindle our tradition of a potluck lunch immediately following the Service on the first Sunday each month.
While we still gather Sundays at 10:30 am, we change our worship format during the summer months, second Sunday in June through Labor Day weekend. In-person discussion circles in our Sanctuary are facilitated by members and friends of our Fellowship. Joining via Zoom is not currently an option.
UUFC offers Religious Exploration (RE) opportunities for all ages. RE activities for children and youth, as well as care for infants and toddlers, is offered during part of the worship hour – find out more here. For adults, a discussion group before worship and other opportunities are offered when volunteer leaders are available – read more here.
