Home & Hearth Solstice Ritual

December 21st, 10:30am. Topic: “Home & Hearth Solstice Ritual.” Service led by Don Taylor.

The Winter Solstice ritual, the Hearth ritual, recognizes we must take care of ourselves, our homes, families, and communities. We recognize that caring for people also helps us care for the planet, and we cannot do the broader work of healing if we do not care for ourselves. At the Winter Solstice, we take time to tend our hearths, both outer and inner, to prepare us for the rest of the year.

When the Work of Christmas is Done

December 28th, 10:30am. Topic: “When the Work of Christmas is Done.” Service led by Reverend Stacy Craig (Zoom).

Author and Civil Rights leader Howard Thurman’s poem “The Work of Christmas” reminds us that when all of shining lights come down and the gifts are put away, the real work of Christmas begins. Let’s explore what this could include as we head into the New Year.
