Social Opportunities
There is always something going on at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Chico. Small group gatherings help us build a well-connected community. They let us explore, share, and enjoy each other’s company outside the larger settings of the Sunday service or coffee hour. When we focus on a personal interest and establish connections with others, we’re strengthening our individual knowledge of the Fellowship.
pUUb Theology – Second Friday of the month, 6pm at the Discovery Bar on Cohasset Rd. Join us at the pub to discuss the “bigger” issues. Contact Asya at asyalesly@icloud.com.
Morning Power Walks in Upper Bidwell Park – If you enjoy early vigorous trail walks, contact Pam at pamsachs1@gmail.com.
Fellowship of the Readers Book Club – Fourth Thursday of the month, 7pm, in the Unitarian Universalist Janet Foreman Room. We welcome everyone and every subject! Our readers are both men and women, our books both fiction and non-fiction, and our choices both current and classic. Sunday Morning Pre-Worship Discussion –Each Sunday prior to our regular service, we hold a discussion group to explore social and cultural topics that we can associate with Unitarian Universalism and how our UU beliefs affect various aspects of our lives. The group chooses the topic at the beginning of the gathering. The meeting is held in the Youth Hall at 9:45 and concludes prior to the service in the Sanctuary. For more information contact Bob Caldwell at rjc97vette@netzero.com.
Dinners for Eight – Dates vary (2-3 times per year), and the structure is simple: the host who provides the house, also provides the main dish, while all others contribute appetizers, side dishes and dessert. Discussion topics roam through the interests, questions, and experiences of the people at the table. Contact Meg at megbrady9@gmail.com.
