During the summer months, we hold less formal services on Sundays.  For the next three months during our normal 10:30am service time, we will have members and friends of the congregation lead discussion circles.  The topics will vary, but will be tailored to provoke a lively discussion among all attending.

FRENCH INDEPENDENCE DAY

The American and French Revolutions were fought close to the same time but on opposite sides of the ocean.  Sometimes the two revolutions are seen as “mirror struggles” with the American Revolution (which came first) influencing the French.  What was at the base of the two revolutions?  how might the rally cry of “Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity” have relevance for today?  Merrily Stover – moderator
